Belinda is a breast surgeon and general surgeon at Breast Associates, as well as being the managing director.

Qualifications

Medical degree from Otago University in 1981
General Surgery Fellowship in 1991
Trained mostly in NZ with some time in England at University College Hospital, London
Plastic Surgical Experience, extra year spent at Hutt Hospital Plastic Surgical Unit with Mr Max Lovei, Mr David Glasson and Mr Gary Duncan. Assisted in Private and operated in Public doing some of the first breast reconstructions with patient’s own tissue.
Lecturer in Surgery at Wellington Hospital 1992
Consultant General Surgeon Wellington Hospital 1993
Moved to Auckland and opened her own Breast Clinic, Breast Associates in 1995.

Other

Outside of medicine Belinda is focused on her family with three children and is able to find work life balance with excellent support from her husband James, who is a General Practitioner. She is a keen sports person enjoying both road and mountain biking and loves snow skiing. Also enjoys sewing, gardening and cooking.
